Ev'ry time we say goodbye

"Every Time We Say Goodbye" es el título de un inolvidable clásico del jazz compuesto por Cole Porter. Como sobre gustos, afortunadamente no hay nada escrito, os dejo algunas de mis versiones favoritas:

Oh, Everytime we say goodbye I die a little
Everytime we say goodbye I wonder why a little
Why the gods above me who must be in the know
Think so little of me
They allow you to go

And when you're near
There's such an air of spring about it
I can hear a lark somewhere begin to sing about it
There's no love song finer
But how strange the change from major to minor
Everytime we say goodbye

Everytime we say goodbye I die a little
Everytime we say goodbye I wonder why a little
Why the gods above me who must be in the know
Think so little of me
They allow you to go

When you're near
There's such an air of spring about it
I can hear a lark somewhere begin to sing about it
There's no love song finer
But how strange the change from major to minor
Everytime we say goodbye

Everyime we say goodbye

My favourite version of this standard is the one recorded by Caterina Valente (guitar and voice) and Chet Baker (trumpet) as a duet with no other musicians in 1956.

I like this versión too.
